Library Board Members

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING IN YOUR COMMUNITY???? The Village of Mannville Library Board is currently looking for two volunteers to sit on their board.  These positions are a three year term.  If anyone is interested in what being a member of the board requires, copies of board policies and procedures are available from the library upon request..

In Memory

 November 2018 the Mannville Public Library lost long time employee Beth Baranyk.  Beth's family made a very generous donation and with that we purchased this leather chair in her memory.  We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to her family. .  Beth is sadly missed by all who knew her.

Winners!

 Congratulations to everyone who participated in our 2019 Winter Reading Program.  This was the library's best year in the past six with our readers reaching over 77,000 minutes of reading time during the months of January and February. That's fantastic, but now watch out for next year as we'll  be aiming for 100,00 minutes. Our big winner this year of a Samsung Tablet is Colleen B. Congratulations Colleen. Winter Reading Program

 We just want to let everyone know that if you have not had an opportunity to pick your log sheets for the Winter Reading Program there's no need to worry.  Rather than miss out simply write the date, title and amount of time you read (no less than 15 minute increments) and when the library opens on January 8th come in and pick up the official log sheet as there is information on the sheet we will need.   In the meantime Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.  It is with regret that the Village of Mannville Library Board accepted the resignation of Chairperson Natalie Clennett.  Natalie volunteered for several years as Chairperson and we are forever grateful for her service.

Christmas Hours

Christmas will soon be here and we want everyone to know that the library is closing Friday, Dec. 21 at 5:00 pm and will open for business as usual January 8th, 2019.

Storytime with Mrs. Claus

 We have also booked Mrs. Claus to read to our school children Tuesday, Dec. 11.  One half of Mrs. Tod's kindergarten class will be coming to the library at 10:00 am, Mrs. Deford's Grade one class will be here at 1:00 and the other half of Mrs. Tod's kindergarten class will come after the Grade one class.  If you are unable to make the public Storytime with Mrs. Claus after school you are more than welcome to come to any of the other times. Virtual Reality

WOW! The Mannville Library will have Virtual Reality equipment for you to try from Thursday, Nov. 8 to Wednesday, Nov. 21 during normal library hours.  We are asking that you preregister if you are interested in giving this a try.  Age restrictions apply.  As recommended by the Northern Lights Library System participants must be 10 years of age and older and for those between 10 and 18 we ask that you have a legal guardian with you.  Consent/waiver forms must be complete...
