New Webpage

Along with our new look for our webpage came a couple of questions as to how to access TRAC.  Here's a quick update. Once you have opened the home page - Mannville Centennial Public Library go to eServices.  As you hoover your mouse the following will appear - How do I  -  click on find a book. Winter Reading Program Winner

 Congratulations to Patricia Smart, winner of a Samsung Tablet, prize of the Mannville Centennial Public Library's Winter Reading Program. YOU Libraries

 We can't advertise enough about wanting everyone to go to www.laa.ca/youaward and vote for the Mannville Centennial Public Library. Voting only takes place from 8:30 a.m. Monday, March 27 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 31.  This is the People's Choice Award and the only way our library can win is by popular vote so please tell all your family and friends, share our posting on Facebook, do everything possible to let as many people in Alberta know that we need their vote.  Thanks to... Winter Reading Program Winner

 Congratulations Carol. Carol was one of six winners of a Samsung Tablet provided by the Northern Lights Library System.  Congratulations also to Eva, Cody, Calista, Mayhen, Payton, Kathryn, Marie, Lynne Verner and Ruth our in house winners.  Our library participants read for a total of over 40,000 minutes.  What avid readers we have in our community!

Footprints

 We want to let everyone know how successful our walking project is.  So far we have over 45 participants who walk on a regular basis.  Congratulations to those people and for those who are still interested the program runs until the end of March.  If you wish to walk please register at the FCSS office.  $5 registration fee for year.  Thank you to all those who have made this program a success.

Annual Meeting

 The Village of Mannville  Library Board will be holding their annual meeting Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.  If anyone is interested in becoming a board member there are two director positions available.  Contact any of the existing members or call the library at 780-763-3611.

Good Reads

We've started a new "Good Reads" and would like everyone to join in.  If you have read a good book and want to share it please let us know and we will post it on the library's Facebook page.  No names will be released only the name of the book and the author.

Winter Reading Program Hours

A huge thank you to all our patrons who kept track of their hours for the month of February for our Winter Reading Program.  We reached a total of 41,780 minutes, that's 696.95 hours.  We will be drawing for the mini kobo tomorrow, March 7th during the tea.  We have lots of draws for the young ones that participated in our program as well.  Watch for updates on who will be the lucky winners.  Northern Lights will be drawing for a chance of 1 of 10 mini readers fo... Make sure you open up our photo gallery as we have some amazing new pictures of our inspiring artists.  How we wish we have this much talent. We are still looking for a new instructor for next year so if anyone knows of one please contact the library.

Ticket buyers

 Thank you to everyone who bought tickets for our annual library raffle, to the Eastalta Co-op for their donation towards our hamper and to Lakeland Country Florists for their donation of the Christmas centerpiece.
