Father's Day Craft

Posted on ago

Our Father's Day Craft In a Bag is ready for pick up.  Due to the popularity of our Craft in a Bag program we have had to implement that you must have a valid library card and that for this craft, the first one is free but the second one is $2.00.

Mother's Day

For our valid library card holders we have been offering a Craft in a Bag each month.  Our Candy Pots were so successful we ran out of supplies which meant we quickly had to come up with another idea.  Thank goodness for never throwing scraps away so for today, Thursday, May 9 and Friday May 10 we still have a few boards left if anyone is interested in picking one up.

Craft in a Bag

Posted on ago

We hope you have been picking up the Craft in a Bag the library has been offering these last few months.  We've found that with busy lives this program gives moms/dads/grandparents, whomever, an opportunity to pick up the craft of the month, take it home and when there's time complete the craft with the children.  The Craft in a Bag program has proved to be extremely popular and with a different craft each month, most theme related, children will learn what is special about that par... Storytime with Mrs. Claus

Posted on ago

Once again our Storytime with Mrs. Claus was a huge success.  Special thank you to Mrs. Rutt, Mrs. Tod and Mrs. Deford for bringing their classes to the library so the children could enjoy stories, candy canes and oranges.  We all wished Mrs. Claus a save journey home so she could continue baking cookies for Santa and the elves.   Merry Christmas everyone.

Christmas Craft

Posted on ago

We've made crafting so easy at the library.  For everyone that's so busy why not drop into the library and pick up all the supplies you'll need to make this Christmas tree decoration.  Everything you need is here in a ziplock bag.  Pick it up. Take it home, Create your tree ornament and watch your children hang it on the tree.  How easy is that!

Live History Theatre

Posted on ago

It was a near sell out crowd that gathered at the Crossroads Museum in Mannville Friday night for two live history theatre performances.  By chance, Library Manager, Brenda Walker noticed an email come across her computer from Jasmine Bowen.  Intrigued by the prospect of a live theatre Walker sent a reply giving several facts about the small village of Mannville: the first telephone office, first municipal hospital, Booher murders of 1928 and the first white settlers in the ar... Paint & Pour

Posted on ago

Our last Paint and Pour was another huge success with a total of 34 women coming out to give their artistic talents a go.  Our program is so popular that we decided to try another one Dec. 8th and not to our surprise this evening was booked within a week and a half.  We are encouraging everyone who not only has participated in the past but those that want to join in in the future to register and pay as soon as it's advertised.  This program is a first pay basis as we neve...
